Outpatient Locations Are Open
All Children's National outpatient care locations are open and providing subspecialty care throughout the pandemic. We've put additional safety precautions in place to protect patients and families. Many of our locations have new providers and expanded specialty offerings, including Fredericksburg and Prince George's County.
Rapid COVID-19 Testing Available
The Emergency Department (ED) offers rapid COVID-19 testing 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We recommend that patients consult with their pediatricians first. Patients do not need referrals and they do not need to be symptomatic to take a test. When the patient visits the ED for testing, they are seen for a complete emergency care visit and will be billed accordingly. Results are provided within 48 hours.
Business of Pediatrics Registration is Open
This year's Business of Pediatrics CME program will take place virtually on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The program will be a half-day, online experience with dynamic speakers and panel presentations from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Registration is now open.
We’ve Gone Paperless
Children’s National has gone paperless. Clinic notes will be sent to your practice electronically via fax transmission or through Direct Messaging. To update your fax number, confirm you are signed up for Direct Messaging or if you are using it but have questions or concerns, please contact your physician liaison or email DirectHelp@ChildrensNational.org.
