Northern Virginia Magazine names 59 Children’s National physicians "Top Doctors"

January 24, 2019

WASHINGTON – The annual "Top Doctors" list from Northern Virginia Magazine features 59 Children’s National Health System care providers across 23 specialties. The prestigious list includes physicians from many of Children’s nationally-ranked programs, including Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Neonatology, Orthopaedics and Urology. Nine of the named doctors practice in Northern Virginia through the Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV).

“I am so proud to see our physicians recognized for their outstanding work and commitment to making sure our patients and families receive the best care possible,” says Kurt Newman, M.D., president and CEO of Children’s National. “The exceptional work of our doctors is affirmed by this acknowledgement as we continue to help our kids grow up stronger.”

Nominations for Northern Virginia Magazine’s list of “Top Doctors” are generated by a peer survey and panels from eight local hospitals. Each panel nominated the doctors based on internal evaluations, patient reviews, patient access, training and quality of records. This year’s recognized physicians from Children’s National include:
