In-Country Global Ambassadors
Children’s National Hospital has in-country global ambassadors in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and the Americas, with a base in Peru. Their role is to educate and guide patients and their families about services at Children’s National. They work closely with home referring physicians to ensure a smooth process and transition of care for traveling patients. They also act as liaisons with the leading insurance companies, health care organizations and referral sources in their local areas. They can also assist with:
- Supporting your child’s care team by obtaining medical records from care providers in your home country
- Facilitating discussions with referring physicians as you make plans to continue your child’s care at home
- Obtaining prescriptions, supplies and equipment that your child may need for their continued care
